OC3 Meetings
December 23/08
IMPORTANT OC3 UPDATE:
Olmsted County Concerned Citizens (OC3) primary focus is to inform the general public and residents of the City of Eyota and Olmsted County about the potential RISKS the proposed MinnErgy Ethanol Plant will have on our environment, air & water quality, potable groundwater supply and the potential health risks associated with ethanol plant operations. The main focus of OC3 members and our partners is to stop the construction of the proposed MinnErgy Ethanol Plant for the reasons mentioned above.
On December 17 th/08 Olmsted County Concerned Citizens, Minnesota Trout Unlimited and the Minnestoa Trout Association hired Environmental Lawyer Jim Peters of Peters & Peters Law Firm. Mr Peters, is now in the process of contacting the Sheriff’s Department in Ramsey County to formally serve a law suit summons to the MPCA notifying them, OC3 and our partners are planning to take them to court to get their decision to NOT require an EIS for the proposed Minnergy Ethanol Plant project over turned.
If you have questions concerning the potential risks the MinnErgy Ethanol plant may pose to our environment and community, or would like to join our group, PLEASE, contact: Tom Dornack at 507-545-2906
IMPORTANT OC3 Meeting dates will be posted when scheduled in the near future.
