John,

As far as I know none of the small towns that have ethanol plants have experienced any growth in their population because an ethanol plant being built in or near their town.

These towns defintely haven't experienced any economic boom either.

As a matter of FACT when we have been out doing our petition drive a fairly large number of people have told us they will move from Eyota if the ethanol plant is built.

As far as jobs are concerned it is a good bet the jobs that pay the most will go to friends/relatives of the CEO's from MinnErgy Corporation not Eyota residents.

Regarding noise, there will be a problem. I hunt near a farm near Preston you can hear the noise from the Preston plant running THREE miles away. As a matter of fact the St.Paul, Gopher State Ethanol Plant just got fined $45,000 three months ago to settle noise and reporting violations.

If the MinnErgy ethanol plant is built, you will more than likely see many houses for sale in Eyota, property values plummet, air pollution problems, increased taxes, and a severe declince in the quality of life for people who can't afford to move out of the town!

See what is terrible about this website is that you only look at the bad and try to twist it so it looks even worse. What about the good that will come. Increased revenue more people coming here this could put an economic boom on our little town. It's ignorant to put only the bad up with out putting the good because good will come. On top of that I had a guy come around telling my family and I how loud it would be from all the trucks and beepers, the site is a ways out there and for us in town it's no worse then listening to a truck run all night over the winter. To me some of you guys coming around are just hypocrits.
